Incorporating Reiki Therapy into Your Life!
What Reiki treatments do on a physical level is allow your nervous system to move from sympathetic dominance (fight or flight; this is our stress mode), to parasympathetic dominance (rest/digest; this is our rest and healing mode). Reiki does a great job with this which is why you feel so relaxed after a session and healing starts to happen. You can help yourself along as well with some conscious or mindful changes.
We are rushed most of the time – at work, at home and everywhere in between. You can allow your mental rushing to disengage from your physical rushing. How? If you are running late, you’re running late, allowing yourself to stress out is not going to get you there any quicker. Instead, try deep breathing and calming thoughts. If you’re in the car, then just enjoy the drive (or the music or whatever), if you are rushing at with errands or to meet a deadline focus on the job at hand and not why you’re late or what the consequences are and you’ll find that your mind is not as stressed and our muscles a bit more relaxed. This takes practice, but it works. By breathing and focusing on what you are doing right now, helps take your body out of fight or flight.
If you feel Reiki Therapy is right for you I practice at Creekside Wellness in Uxbridge and am available Monday – Thursday and Saturdays. For further questions or a complimentary consultation please feel free to contact me. I am more than happy to answer any of your questions about Reiki Therapy.
